Her story is framed by martyrs and saviors, abstract concepts of morality, such as what is owed to one another and personal responsibility. Like the other students, she just wants her way. Unlike them, however, Yuu is thoroughly domesticated. She does not consciously invest in forming relationships but as things become more taxing, she naturally begins relying more on her peers for support. She finds herself opening up to the students and staff and behaving more like a teenager would. This return to form enlivens her, a reflection of Yuu prior to Twisted Wonderland. Her altruistic nature and naivety regularly has her in opposition with the student body of NRC. While many admire those qualities, others question her discernment. She is most commonly thought of as too uninterested in her studies and entirely too consumed by her hobbies, however practical they may be. Her upperclassmen aim to establish a sense of responsibility within her. On the night of their meeting, Yuu stops Grim from being captured and expelled from campus when he interrupts the entrance ceremony. She expresses a desire to keep him as a companion. He induced a pity within her over their shared trapped animal insecurities. The dorm leaders disagree, but Crowley admits Grim anyway. Yuu feels hopeful when she sees him, Crowley spares him from a single look alone. To onlookers, this stranger is spoiled by Crowley, that much is apparent. When the timeline resets, they are alone at the robes ceremony. Just the two of them.
Role
Yuus position on campus is akin to housewarden, sans the responsibility of caring for a dorm. As the prefect, she essentially acts as the dean of students, dealing in punishments and reprimands. She is assigned this role as Ramshackle has no other students to give her authority over. It entails often being left with Crowley’s less important tasks, like paperwork and overblots, apparently.

AV and Journalism Most of Yuus endeavors are to learn more about Twisted Wonderland to bridge the gaps in her knowledge. Being an avid conversationalist before, the inability to engage in intelligent exchanges about history, pop culture, and current events felt foreign and alienating. How little she knows about pop culture is a sore point for her that other students exploit to trick her. Overwhelmed with the breadth of history, Crowley instructs her to focus on current events as a guide to understanding past ones. He establishes NRC’s Newspaper club with Chubby the Ghost as their lead and three other students. Gourmet Foods Started by Grim and Yuu when he failed to find a club to join, they use the funds granted to them by NRC to finance dinners in Foothill City, the city at the base of the island. Although the club is registered with Grim as the sole member, other friendly faces, like Jade Leech and Sebek Zigvolt, often tag along for a free meal.

Relationships

Night Ravens College
Crowley attempts to take on a paternalistic role with her, but through his own immaturity, they bicker more like siblings. He feels a genuine guilt over the trouble the Dark Mirror has caused her, oftentimes resorting to being too lenient or indulgent to compensate for it. Placing an immoderate amount of trust in the it, He can’t admit the dark mirror made a mistake when summoning Yuu. He treats the two similarly, showing brazen favoritism towards the two of them at the expense of the others. Despite Yuu’s insistence that the mirror, a magic artefact, cannot reciprocate his feelings, Crowley persists. His feelings are unknown, but boarder on obsessive and romantic at times.

Almost immediately after meeting Yuu, Ace and Deuce try to acquaint themselves with her, but not without ulterior motives. Deuce believes that she may be an exemplary student due to her close relationship with the staff and wants to emulate her behavior in hopes that they’ll become associated together. Ace recognizes the preferential treatment she receives from Crowley immediately and tries to siphon it. It doesn’t work. In essence, they both project a favorable identity onto her and try to garner good will by associating with Yuu. They eventually realize how wrong their assessments of her were, instead choosing to remain friends as they’re bonded by their many near expulsions. They remind her that she’s a teenage girl, she feels nostalgic when she sees them.
Noble Bell College

When invited alongside her peers to visit Noble Bell College, she befriends student body president Rollo Flamme, excusing his patronizing motivations against her better judgment. When the veil slips and he’s called to answer, Yuu defends him again, feeding into his guilt as if it were her own. He speaks with a cadence that He invites her to keep correspondence with her when they part, and despite the grief he’s caused, they do. When Rollo visits NRC to fulfill his visitor side of their culture exchange, he stays in Ramshackle, becoming a student temporarily.
Royal Sword Academy

Neige LaBlanche, despite being a well known actor, affirms that hes already acquainted with Yuu. While meeting for the first time during the Culture Festival, he admits that he knows of all of their exploits as an avid reader of the NRC Journal, the newspaper curated by the Journalism Club. Neige has opinions on politics and social movements around Sage’s Island but fears retaliation if he condemns, supports, or even acknowledges the events happening around them. He forms a relationship with Yuu as he believes they mesh well politically and socially. Because hes not a writer, he uses Yuus words and arguments as a way to express his own thoughts, something that she has mixed feelings about. She doesn’t want to be a vehicle to deliver his anger, nor does she want to be his sole source of information.
